Application:
Radiant barrier is used as a main part of reflective insulation system. Radiant barrier (also known as foil insulation, insulation barrier, vapour barrier, or radiant insulation) is typically installed under the roof , below the floor or inside the wall in conjunction with the air spaces to control heat gain or heat loss. For more information for the radiant barrier, foil insulation, and reflective insulation see RIMA Handbook.

Application:
Thin non woven fiberglass strand veil surfacing mat, fiberglass mat or fiberglass sheet made out of thin glass fibers bonded by adhesive. Acoustically transparent fiberglass surface mat is used in sound proofing, production of sound absorbing panels and silencers. These non woven fiberglass sheets are also used as insulation surface veil facing of fiberglass and rock wool materials as well as for duct and pipe protection. Fiberglass surfacing mat (tissue) can be applied as acoustic lining on rigid fibrous duct boards, or as reinforcement membrane in waterproofing

Possible use and application technique:
Second generation of insulation facing materials designed for dry heat lamination. Insulation facings in the"thermo" category  have heat activated adhesive on the back. Heat activated glue makes possible to use dry heat lamination process without using of water or solvent based adhesive. The process is much cleaner and "greener "compare to traditional wet glue lamination. The dry heat lamination process makes possible lamination of various perforated (breathable / acoustical) insulation facings to the conventional fiberglass, rockwool or foam insulation
